Make a Plan
Emergencies can happen when you least expect it. One of the first steps in preparing yourself and your family for an emergency is by developing a family emergency plan.
Your family escape plan should include the following:
- Safe exits from your home and neighbourhood
- Meeting places for everyone in the home.
- Designated person to pick up children if you are unavailable.
- Contact persons.
- Health and insurance information.
- Places for your pet to stay.
- A list of possible risks in your region.
- Location of your fire extinguisher, water valve, electrical panel, gas valve and floor drain.
